4 Chinese quarantined in Abuja over coronavirus as crisis rages

The first case of coronavirus was discovered in Nigeria in February through an Italian businessman Barely a week after the first case of coronavirus was recorded in the country, four more Chinese nationals have been subjected to quarantine checks in Abuja.

The measure became necessary in order to curb the fast spread of the epidemic which is responsible for the loss of lives with the death toll figure globally standing on 3,220 .

 Emerging report has now confirmed that the Chinese were held in a separate facility after testing negative to the deadly virus.  

The statement by a staff of the information unit Sulai said the Chinese citizens showed some symptoms suggestive of pneumonia after they arrived Abuja through Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on Tuesday, March 3.

He further added that after they tested negative to the virus, they have been put in a separate facility where their health level will be monitored for the next 14 days.
