The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 417 new cases of
the deadly coronavirus pandemic. According to NCDC, Nigeria now has 49,485
confirmed cases with 36,834 patients already recovered and discharged.
In the latest figures released by the national health agency via its
official Twitter handle late on Monday, August 17, the infection spread across
17 states in the country.
