Another Imo State Monarch Abduct By Gunmen

The traditional ruler of Mbutu ancient kingdom in Aboh Mbaise local government area of Imo state, Eze Damian Nwaigwe, has been kidnapped by gunmen.

The Nation reports that the monarch was abducted on Thursday, December 9, from the palace at about 2:30 am.

A source told newsmen that the gunmen numbering about 10, shot into the air before whisking the monarch away to unknown location.

The state police spokesperson confirmed the monarch’s abduction, adding that the monarch’s vehicle in which he was taken away has been recovered while noting that they were on the trail of the abductors. It was gathered that the gunmen are yet to demand a ransom.
