Bags Of Decaying Naira Notes Amounting To Billions Found Buried In Benue (Photos/Video)

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crime Commissions (EFCC) have uncovered several bags of spoilt Naira notes which were stashed away somewhere in Makurdi, Benue State.

The revelation came in the wake of the new Naira notes redesigning by the central bank of Nigeria which means the old tender will no longer be valid from January 31st, 2023.

Redesigning was targeted at the Naira note hoarders and corrupt individuals who have stolen the country’s treasure in the past.
