CAN preaches peace, unity as Nigeria celebrates 59 independence anniversary

The Christian Association of Nigeria CAN felicitates with Nigerians as the country celebrates its 59th  independence anniversary.

 A statement by the President,  Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Dr Samson Olasupo Adeniyi Ayokunle signed by Special Assistant (Media & Communications)  Pastor Adebayo Oladeji,  expressed believe that Nigeria can rise above challenges and be the great nation God designed it to be.

Dr Ayokunle described Nigeria as a nation that is greatly endowed by God, in terms of geographical location and good weather for agricultural pursuits along with virtually all kinds of mineral deposits in commercial quantities and is blessed with Skillful Human Resources.

The Christian however summarized issues such as ethnicity, Religion, corruption and Poor Welfare Provision, Mass Unemployment as problems of the country along with the pathways of making Nigeria great as realization of what the problems are, need for a change of heart and attitude for all and all embracing love.

The CAN president also called on all always come together for prayers before God in unison, seeking his intervention over affairs so that the nation might rise and be great again while putting behind all the divisions because God has decided to tie the destiny of the citizenry together in the nation called Nigeria.

He used the occasion of the independence celebration to call on all to embrace one another, working hard to make life better for all as it is time for Nigeria to rise as a nation through the collective effort of all.
