The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in conjunction with the federal road safety corps (FRSC) and the national union of road transport workers (NURTW) is doing all to ensure safety of corps members on Nigeria roads.
Director General of
the National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC), Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, made
the disclosure on Tuesday during a visit to the NYSC orientation camp in Kubwa.
General Ibrahim said the NURTW have assured that only
road worthy vehicles would be provided for the corps members to travel and at a
reduced rate because of the discount offered to the the corps.
The DG who warned against self induced rejection
saying such would face disciplinary actions and would also be a blot on their
record since such reports of self induced rejection by employers would be
placed in their file.
He also used the occasion to warn against petition writing by corps members against employers saying they should follow due process by notifying relevant NYSC authorities.
