Elders Perform Purification Ritual On Man Caught Sleeping With His Sister In Benue (Photos)

A man said has allegedly been caught sleeping with his sister in Benue State.

One Orkaa Roojas, who posted the photos on Facebook said the incident happened in Vandeikya Local Government Area of the state.

The photos show the community elders were conducting a purification ritual as is the custom when brother and sister are caught in incident of incest.

Under the custom, both of them are place in a hut which after some ritual is set on fire with both of them inside and would eventually run out signifying the bond of kinship is broken, meaning they are no longer brother and sister.
