Female arms smuggling trio arrested by Police

A three-member female arms smuggling gang have been arrested by the police.

Parading the suspects identified as Eleanor Yowei, Favour Bello and Priye Jimmy before newsmen in Abuja, the police said eight hundred and eighteen ammunition hidden in a twenty-five-kilogram bag of rice were recovered from the suspects while they were travelling from Kano to Bayelsa state.

Eleanor Yowei reportedly handed over the bag containing rice and ammunition to Favour Bello for onward delivery to Priye Jimmy, but luck ran out on them when the bag was searched at a motor park in Kano.
