FG cuts NASS budget by N25.6bn amid coronavirus pandemic

The federal government has slashed the budget of NASS by N25.6 billion as Covid-19 economic reality beckons.

The reduction reflected 20 per cent cutdown from N128 billion previously approved for the country’s federal lawmakers.

In the same vein, FG has also beat down the 2020 budget from N10.3 trillion to N8 trillion due to coronavirus pandemic.

The Covid-19 pandemic has seen the economy partially deadened with government across levels resulting in reconsideration of the fiscal policy.
