A contender for the Benue south senatorial seat honorable chief Nelson Alapa has promised to bridge the the infrastructural decay in the zone .

Chief Nelson Alapa made this statement on Tuesday in otukpo while declaring his intention for the Benue south senatorial seat, described as unfortunate the lack of succession in ensuring the maintenance of infrastructure by successive government in the area, saying he would bring a new dawn in leadership in the area.

The former deputy minority leader in national assembly said he would give cohesive leadership devoid of party sentiments and work towards bringing unity of the idoma people through leadership as well as borrow experience from past senators while improving on it and their leagacies.

Others areas the senatorial aspirant promised to take as priority is the youth , saying he would ensure they are meaningfully engaged thus taking them from the streets since the present dispensation of politics depends on them.

The aspirant also assured the people of Obi and Oju local government of full representation so that they will get all the political dividend due to them which has been denied them over time.

On the issue of idoma governor chief Alapa appealed to the Tiv people to look at the issue from moral and not political perspective since APC as a party is committed to equity and fairness

The occasion witnessed turn of APC stalwarts from the senatorial zone.
