The Nigeria police
have arrested a chief superintendent of immigration for allegedly supplying
bandits with ammunition in Sokoto.
The arrest has been
confirmed by the spokesperson of the Sokoto police command, ASP Abdulkadir
Datti.
Datti who did not name
the immigration officer in question stated that suspected was still under
investigation. The Sokoto police command confirmed that it is investigating the
immigration officer for supplying ammunition to bandits.
When contacted, over
the reported arrest, the spokesman of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Bello
Ahmad, declined comment on the matter because it was being investigated by the
police.
