A Nigerian company – E.F Network Ltd has launched an application that can make a mobile phone unusable by unauthorized persons and thieves; curb theft or resale of mobile phones as well as check incidence of kidnapping.

Thousands of mobile phone users in Nigeria daily and yearly have found themselves in difficult situations following the loss or theft of their phones with all the information stored and all the attendant problems of getting the information back, some of which would be lost forever.

But now it is goodbye to lost data/information on mobile device as E.F Network Ltd’s efphonetaxi application has come to the rescue as it helps to render the phone useless for use by unauthorized persons, the APP also helps to check kidnapping which shows it’s a must have now because of the prevailing situations in the country and world.

“The ephontaxi helps to lock out anyone who is unauthorized to use , thus rendering only useful for the garbage bin” Ameh Ochojila , the Public Relations Officer of E.F Network Ltd, explained . Ochojila said the application is to prevent and protect phones from being compromised when lost or stolen which can all be done remotely.

The technical manager of the company Kelvin Raymond , said that the application could also be used to trace kidnappers as it can reveal real time location of mobile phones.

Chairman of the company, Mr Gideon Egbuculam, disclosed that the application was one of the products introduced into the market to meet the technical and software needs Nigerians . The company has an incubation center in Abuja where it is recruiting brilliant young Nigerian Information Technology (IT) professionals.

Mr Egbuculam lauded the capabilities of the Nigerian youths saying ” given an enabling environment , they will take Nigeria to the next Silicon Valley of Africa. The Chairman who has travelled to over 32 countries around the world said ” a very significant number of giant tech companies are interested in the Nigerian market and that is the reason why our company is recruiting over 1000 people by the end of 2020 to support talented youths” he said.
