Kanye West joins US 2020 presidential race(Post/reactions)

US rapper Kanye West has joined the race for the 2020 presidential election.

The renowned rapper made the announcement via his official Twitter handle on Saturday night.

He said, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future.

“I am running for president of the United States,” West tweeted around 9 p.m. ET.

The wealthy musician completed the tweet with an American flag emoji, and the hashtag “#2020VISION.”

West is said to have leaned much more into politics over the past years and has had a handful of meetings with the incumbent President Donald Trump.

Reality star, Kim Kardashian who is also wife of West (a singer, songwriter, record producer, composer, entrepreneur and fashion designer and musician) responded to the post with a flag of America.

Elon Musk owner of Tesla and friend to West also posted his support for it.
