The vice chairman of Charanchi local government area of Katsina state, has
been kidnapped from his hometown by some suspected kidnappers.
Hassan was kidnapped from Yan Albasa on Tuesday, September 24, while he was
at his residence with his family members.
Some family sources said the gunmen stormed Hassan’s residence and whisked
him away to an unknown location.
Confirming the incident, the Katsina state Police command spokes person Isah
Gambo, said a team of operatives of the force from the Special Anti-Robbery
Squad, CID have condoned the area and are combing the bushes to rescue Hassan.
Gambo also said: “We are onto a lead which I won’t disclose because of
the sensitive nature of the case, but I’m assuring you that he will be
rescued.”
