Lawmakers with highest number of sponsored bills(See list)

Two members of the House of Representatives, Abass Tajudeen and Tahir Monguno have been adjudged as the only two federal lawmakers to have sponsored the highest number of bills in the green chamber.

Representing Zaria federal constituency, Tajudeen has sponsored a total of 59 bills while Monguno, a Borno APC lawmaker, came second on the log with 40 bills.

According to the National Assembly (NASS) record book, Femi Gbajabimila, the current speaker, is the only lawmaker to have sponsored the highest number of bills already passed.

Other lawmakers are:

Nkem Abonta (Abia) – 30 bills

Ossai Nicholas Ossai (Delta) – 29 bills

Dachung Bagos (Plateau) -27 bills;

Simon Nwadkwom (Plateau) -22 bills

Nkirukah Onyejeocha (APC Abia) – 19 bills

Femi Gbajabiamila (Lagos) – 17 bills

Francis Uduyok (Akwa Ibom) – 15 bills

Gideon Gwani (Kaduna) – 15 bills

Out of the 17 bills sponsored by Speaker Gbajabiamila, six have been passed by the House, while others, including constitution amendments bills are awaiting committee reports.

On the other hands, 22 bills out of the 59 bills sponsored by honourable Tajudeen were meant to establish federal medical centres in 21 states of the federation.
