Nigeria confirms 403 new cases of COVID-19

Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases has exceeded 16,000 with the confirmation by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) of 403 new cases of the virus on Sunday, June 14.

The NCDC in a tweet on its official handle disclosed that that the 403 new cases id spread across 20 states with Gombe topping the list of states with the highest number of infections.

According to the data released by the NCDC, Gombe recorded 73 cases; Lagos-68; Kano-46; Edo-36; FCT-Abuja-35; Nasarawa-31; Kaduna-17; Oyo-16; Abia-15; Delta-13; Borno-13; Plateau-8; Niger-7; Rivers-7; Enugu-6; Ogun-6; Kebbi-3; Ondo-1; Anambra-1 and Imo-1.

The NCDC further revealed that so far, the total number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria stands at 16,085, with 5220 persons discharged and 420 deaths recorded.
