Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections now 16,658 with 573 new cases

Nigeria’s total infection rate rose to 16,658 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 573 new cases.

The federal health agency in a tweet on its official handle at 11:50 pm on Monday, June 15, disclosed that 573 new cases is spread across 20 states with Lagos taking the lead as the state with the highest number of infections.

The NCDC further revealed that in the last 24 hours 4 more people have died bring the total number of fatalities to 424, while 129 patients have been discharged after testing negative increasing the recovered cases to 5,349.
