The Nigeria Centre for
Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday updated the number of States with confirmed
cases of COVID-19 in the country.
NCDC in a tweet
confirmed that there are now 25 states with COVID-19 across the country.
Giving a breakdown of
the State with cases, it wrote: “As at 11:25 pm 21th April, the breakdown of
cases by State is:
According to
information made available by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),
59 out of the 117 cases were recorded in Lagos, followed by 29 in the FCT, 24
in Kano, and 6 in Borno. There were also 4 new cases in Katsina, 3 in Ogun, and
1 in Rivers and Bauchi states, respectively.
So far, the total
number of confirmed cases in Nigeria has risen to 782. Only 197 patients have
recovered, even as the fatalities currently stand at 25.
