Remains Of Sen David Mark’s Son Tunde Jonathan Laid To Rest (Photos)

The remains of Tunde Jonathan Owoicho Mark has been buried on Friday, November 11th, 2022 at his country home in Otukpo Benue state.

Late Tunde was the first son of former Senate President, Senator Dr. David A.B Mark.

Senator Mark whose tribute was read by one of his sons, David Mark Junior, described Tunde as a unifier, a connector and a glue that bonded the family together as well as a bridge between his brothers and sisters.

He said the family would uphold the late Tunde’s most cherished values of respect, kindness, generosity and love.

Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom, and his deputy, Engr. Benson Abounu were among politicians, religious leaders and others who were at the home of the former Senate President for the requeim Mass to bid farewell to the man.

Governor Ortom described Tunde as a great man and a bridge builder who supported his father while rendering assistance to those he came across.

The State Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu who spoke as a native of Otukpo said the late Tunde Mark related well with all, irrespective of their class, and went on to describe him as a man with a pure heart and an uncommon humility..

Senator representing Benue South, Patrick Aba Moro who in his tribute said people were pained that a young, vibrant and an upcoming leader has been taken away from them so early, however said that the impactful life that the late Tunde lived has ensured that he would always be in the minds and hearts of people.

The State Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Akpen Leva who was represented by the Benue South Chairman of the Association said the entire members of the association share in the grieve of Senator Mark’s family and prayed that God would comfort them all.

Tunde, a biochemist and immunologist, who obtained a B.Sc degree from Kings College, London, and Biological Sciences in the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Harvard, and Cambridge, Massachusetts died on 21st October 2022 in a London hospital from cancer.
