TOPIC: WHAT THE WORD OF GOD DOES FOR THE CHILD OF GOD
SCRIPTURE: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word of God familiarises the child of God with the Voice of God.
Previously, we established that every time you are in touch with the Word of God, you are potentially in touch with the Voice of God.
Today, we shall be looking at what the Word of God does for the child of God.
Now, what does the Word of God do for the child of God?
a. The Word of God familiarises the child of God with the Voice of God.
The Word of God familiarises you with the way God speaks. It helps you to recognise the Voice of your Maker and differentiates it from the voice of a stranger.
b. The Word of God connects you to the Person of God.
John 1:1 says,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And 1 Corinthians 14:10 says,
There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.
The Word of God makes the Voice of God to be clear to you.
Beloved, make up your mind to give more attention to studying and doing the Word.
Remember this: The Word of God familiarises the child of God with the Voice of God.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Familiarise yourself with the Word of God by reading, hearing, meditating, declaring and doing the Word consistently.
- Allow the Word of God to have its full course in your life.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive fresh hunger to study Your Word. Help me to familiarise myself with Your Word Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
