Daily Devotional Guide Written By Dr. Paul Enenche.

SCRIPTURE: And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. Isaiah 58:11

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where the guidance of God is absent, life is full of stress.

It is a covenant privilege of a child of God to receive direction from God (John 10:27, Romans 8:14). And God is not only committed to directing His children; He is also committed to guiding them. What is the difference between direction and guidance?

Direction says: “Move here, turn this way. This is the name of the business to do.” That is direction.

Guidance says, “Come, let us go.”

In direction, you hear instructions and voices, but in guidance, you are being assisted not to miss it.

God says, “I will guide you with my eyes” (Psalm 32:8); maybe you are trying to embark on a journey by all means, without the approval of God. He would frustrate the movement of the car because He knows that danger is ahead.

Now, what are the benefits of direction and guidance from God?

  1. Restful living (Psalm 23:2).
Where the Guidance of God is absent, life is full of stress. One way to know that you are out of touch with God is the abundance of stress; peace would be lost. On the other hand, when God guides you, He gives you peace and rest on every side.
  2. Divine supplies (Psalm 23:1-2).
When God guides you, you lie down in abundance. He does not just attack your needs; He handles your wants. So, Divine supplies answer both needs and wants.
  3. Revival existence (Psalm 23:2). This is where your life is permanently irrigated by the Spirit of the Lord.
  4. Restoration from misdirection (Psalm 23:3).
Maybe you are about to put money in a wrong business, God would guide you away from it, saying, “That is a wrong business.” Maybe you are about to make a wrong move, He would tell you, “Come back.”

Beloved, I decree that you shall not miss it, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Where the guidance of God is absent life is full of stress.

  1. Enquire from God and seek His approval before you venture into any endeavour in life.
  2. Never ignore the leading of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to be sensitive to Your direction and guidance. I refuse to miss it in life and destiny, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY BIBLE READING: 2 Corinthians 13 – Galatians 2.

QUOTE: When your word comes, your captivity ends. Culled from “30 SECRETS TO THE TOP” by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: The male seahorse goes through pregnancy and gives birth to babies. They are the only animal on earth where the male carries the baby rather than the female.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive Divine guidance in this season in Jesus’ Name. You will not miss your way in Jesus’ Name.
