TOPIC: FOCUS, THE SECRET OF FIRE
SCRIPTURE: Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Proverbs 4:25-26.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Focus is the secret of fire. Focus determines finding.
God does new things in our lives when past things are put behind (Isaiah 43:18-19). You cannot see the new if you hold unto the old.
Today we shall be looking at another key to experience and maximize a new season of life:
Identify what to put before you.
Identify what to put in front of you. Identify your priorities or central focus.
Proverbs 4:25-26 says,
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
Focus is the secret of fire. Focus determines finding. Someone must be focused for something to be found. What belongs to you in this New Year cannot be found in the climate of distraction and confusion. They can only be found if you are brutally focused.
You see, what you define determines what you can find. To define it is to find it.
To define it is also to discover it. If you can define it, you can discover it.
Furthermore, if you can define it, God can deliver it. (Genesis 13:15).
For example, you may say to yourself, “Before this year is over, I trust God to win one thousand souls into the Kingdom. Before this year is over, I trust God to have a turnover of nothing less than one million dollars. Before this year is over, I trust God to build at least five churches, etc.”
Beloved, to experience a new beginning, you must have spiritual focus, business focus, career focus, marital focus, etc. You must maintain focus in every applicable realm.
Remember this: Focus is the secret of fire. Focus determines finding.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Refuse to focus on the past except for the sake of learning lessons.
- Always put something in front of you. Put a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly vision ahead of you.
PRAYER: Lord, I reject the lifestyle of visionlessness. I receive the grace to put something to pursue always ahead of me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
