THE LOVE OF MONEY – THE KILLER OF CONSCIENCE.

The love of money is a killer of conscience; it kills people’s conscience. And when the conscience is dead, people commit all manner of evil.
SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When the conscience is dead, people commit all manner of evil.
Some years ago, I travelled to a country in Europe and a man who decided to do an illegal business in that country came to me and requested that I pray for him to succeed in his business. I asked what business it was, and found out that he was doing an illegal business. So, he actually came to me to pray for him to succeed in his illegal business. I looked at him and said to him: If I curse you now, you won’t survive it! I asked him: You mean you want me to pray for you to succeed in illegitimacy? What kind of useless money are you looking for? As preachers, do you think that we play with the Word of God that we preach?
Only the mercy of God prevented me from cursing him. At the end, I asked him to kneel down and hand his life over to God. And he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.
Beloved, the love of money has a negative effect on the conscience of man. The love of money is a killer of conscience; it kills people’s conscience. And when the conscience is dead, people commit all manner of evil.
Remember this: When the conscience is dead, people commit all manner of evil.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Do not allow greed or the love of money to kill your conscience.
- Refuse to be part of the evils and crimes people commit to get money.
- Be contented with God’s provisions for your life per time.
PRAYER: O Lord, I receive the grace to maintain a tender conscience and not to be controlled by greed. Help me to be contented with Your provisions for my life per time, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
