TOPIC: THE POWER OF THE ANOINTING
SCRIPTURE: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY : If the anointing is upon you, you can use a hammer to do the work of a bulldozer.
It is evident that every history-making manifestation in the scriptures was preceded and powered by the
Anointing. Moses was anointed at the flames of the burning bush where the aimless rod in his hand became the
rod of power. It is the anointing that brings men out of obscurity, out of where the devil kept them, out of where
satanic limitations kept them, to limelight.
Before Saul became king of Israel, he was roaming up and down the mountains of Israel looking for what he thought was missing. He wandered up and down until he encountered Prophet Samuel, the man with the Oil, and
by his encounter with that anointing, his wandering ended. It is the anointing that turns a wanderer into a wonder
(1 Samuel 10:1-10).
The anointing also imparts supernatural energy and amplifies human effort (Matthew 15:32). If the anointing is upon you, you can use a hammer to do the work of a bulldozer. If the anointing is on a tadpole, it would sink a
shark. The anointing imparts supernatural strength, unbeatable mental strength, unusual physical stamina,
brutal aggressive spiritual fervency. A realm, a dimension that frustrates, and mesmerizes the powers of
darkness. Jesus carried it and stood for 72 hours on His feet preaching (Matthew 15:32). Kathryn Kuhlman
carried the anointing and worked beyond 18 hours daily. At times, she could stand on her feet for 6 hours non-stop while ministering. Samson had this supernatural energy, and he killed a lion with such unusual speed without telling his parents about it; of course, to him, it was not a testimony (Judges 14:5-6).
Beloved, make demand on God for the anointing to change your life’s situations.
Remember this : If the anointing is upon you, you can use a hammer to do the work of a bulldozer.
ASSIGNMENT(S) :
- Pray in the Holy Ghost frequently.
- Map out a schedule where you engage in periodic fasting and prayer.
- Make demands on the anointing of the Holy Ghost to come upon your life.
PRAYER : Lord, I surrender all to You. Let the Anointing of the Holy Ghost rest on me and make me a wonder to
my generation, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
