TOPIC: UPGRADE YOUR MENTALITY
SCRIPTURE: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink,
saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Proverbs 23:7
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY : Pride is an exaggerated estimation of
who you are but boldness is audacity with correct estimation of
self.
In life, mentality sets the pace for reality. That is why to win the
battle in the mind is to win the battles of life.
For instance, there is a mentality that governs the conduct of
members of the royal family. When anyone is born into certain
royal families, they are given a chaperon from babyhood to teach
them that they are royalty; they teach them behaviours fitting for
royalty, including the proper way to walk, how to eat, etc.
They are told, “There is a way to eat; and you do not eat in public.
You are not like everyone; you are different. You are the one who
owns the whole of this empire. So, you cannot behave anyhow.” They teach royal children all these things and then they grow up
knowing that they are royalties.
One day, one of my children asked me, “Daddy, who taught you how
to walk?” I said, “Nobody.” You know, there is something inside you
that would organize your steps. There is boldness, light and insight
that just organizes your moves anywhere you go.
There is the confidence stride of a lion. You do not look beggarly;
you respect people, but you are not pitiable. You know, pride is an
exaggerated estimation of who you are but boldness is audacity
with correct estimation. You respect everyone but you do not
appear timid before anyone.
Beloved, be aware that you are not the same with everyone; your
case is not their case. You may not be there yet but you are on your
way. So, continually upgrade your mentality.
Remember this: Pride is an exaggerated estimation of who you are
but boldness is audacity with correct estimation.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Refuse to let people make you feel inferior.
- See yourself the way God sees you.
- Renew your mind daily with the Word of God.
PRAYER : Lord, thank You for making me in Your great Image. I
carry Your DNA. Therefore, I refuse to be small. Everything about
me reflects Your greatness. I walk in abundance and the lines are
falling unto me in pleasant places, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
