TOPIC: GIVING HONOUR AND GLORY TO GOD THROUGH PRAISE
SCRIPTURE: Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. 1 Chronicles 16:29
THOUGHT FOR DAY: Praise is the allocation of worth, value and honour unto the Almighty God.
The importance of praise in the journey of life and destiny cannot be overemphasized. Apart from the fact that praise grants access to God’s Presence (Psalm 100:4), praise is key to increase in life (Psalm 67:6).
So, to praise God is to rise in life; on the other hand, refusal to praise God is acceptance of reduction in life. This is why it is very important to understand the subject of praise and worship.
Now, what is praise?
Praise is the allocation of worth, value and honour unto the Almighty God
To praise God is to come to a point in life where your life (not only singing and worshipping) allocates worth, value and honour to the Almighty God.
Our anchor Scripture makes it very clear that there is a glory that is due to God. He is the Owner of the universe; He is the Governor General of the Heaven and the Earth. He was not elected and His position is not contestable.
He is a great God; when He puts a person on a bicycle, that person can move faster than an aircraft. He is the God who can crack the coconut with an egg to disgrace the power of the stone; He has the power to fetch water with basket so that the basin can be put to shame. He can do, overdo, undo and extra-do; in fact, He is Jehovah extra-do. When our eyes are opened to see the Power of God, we would realise that He is worthy to be worshipped; that there is a glory that is due to Him. So, when we praise and worship God, we give Him the glory that is due to His Name.
REMEMBER THIS: Praise is the allocation of worth, value and honour unto the Almighty God

- Make up your mind to allocate worth, value and honour to the Almighty God through praise.
- Refuse for your life to be dry of praise and worship.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord for opening my eyes to see the meaning of praise. Help me to praise You unconditionally, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
