TOPIC: ENGAGING ANGELIC MINISTRY THROUGH SPEAKING IN TONGUES
SCRIPTURE: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Speaking in tongues boosts your prayer life by engaging angels in your request and communication with God.
The Scripture makes it clear that Praying in the Spirit helps us both to communicate with and engage the activity of angels.
The Scripture reveals that there are tongues of men and there are tongues of angels (1 Corinthians 13:1).
Many people speak tongues of angels, which is not known or understood by anyone else on earth. When you speak in tongues of angels, while you are praying in tongues, you are communicating to angels and possibly giving them directives.
For example, when you are praying in tongues, what you may be saying could be: I am about to travel to Lagos; so, angels, position yourself on the way and clear the road. As you pray in tongues, you may not know what you are saying but an angel of the Lord hears what you say. So, he goes on assignment and fights your battles; he fights, kills and buries anyone planning your hurt, though you may not be aware of all of that. That is why Smith Wigglesworth said that speaking in tongues is a luxury.
Paul the apostle said that he spoke in tongues more than everyone in the Corinthian Church in his time (1 Cor. 14:18). No wonder he enjoyed the ministry of angels more than anybody in his generation. Speaking in tongues boosts your prayer life by engaging angels in your request and communication with God.
Beloved, make up your mind to shift to another level in the Spirit by praying in tongues.
