Taylor Swift had “so much fun” dreaming up pieces for her fashion
collaboration with Stella Mccartney.
Back in June, the Shake It Off singer announced she was joining forces with
the British designer on a special line of merchandise, which would be released
at the same time as her seventh studio album, Lover, on 23 August.
Taylor took to Instagram to share an image of herself and Stella working on
the collection, with the snap showing her wearing a pastel tie-dye T-shirt and
yellow shorts.
“#StellaxTaylorSwift is coming soon,” she captioned the picture. “It’s been
SO much fun to work/dream up cute stuff with my friend @stellamccartney to
create a line inspired by my new album Lover. Can’t wait to show you what we’ve
been working on and tell you more about the pop-up shop.”
The collection includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, bags, and even a
reusable water bottle, with all jersey fabric made from sustainable organic
cotton. Stella has also released a lookbook which showcases key pieces from the
range, with the designs drawing on inspirations from the Lover album, as well
as vintage graffiti, band shirts, nostalgic memorabilia, and Taylor’s lyrics.
In keeping with Stella’s eco-friendly ethos, there is a bomber jacket made
from sustainable viscose, with an airbrushed heart at the front, and a logo
handbag made from Eco Alter-Nappa leather, which contains recycled polyester
and oils from vegetable waste.
