Three suspected armed robbers captured and burnt by residents in failed bank robbery in Oyo (Photos)

Suspected armed robbers who attacked the branch of a commercial bank in Okeho, Kajola local government area of Oyo State Wednesday ran out of luck as some of them were lynched and burnt .

Eyewitnesses told journalists that three members of the group were caught by some hunters who engaged them in a gun duel.

The robbers were later lynched and burnt by residents of the town.

The spokesman of the state police command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident to journalists in Ibadan.

Fadeyi added that the state Commissioner of Police has directed all the Police Tactical teams including the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Mobile Police Force (PMF 72) and Police personnel from Okeho Area Command and nearby Divisions to be on the trail of other members of the fleeing robbery gang who escaped in different directions.
